MarylandPaintingContractors.com ("we", "us", "our") operates a free online directory that connects homeowners with independent painting contractors in Maryland. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Quote request form

When you submit a quote request, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number, project ZIP code, and project details. This information is shared with independent painting contractors so they can contact you with estimates. We do not sell your personal information.

Contact and corrections

If you email us a question, correction, or removal request, we receive whatever information you choose to send (typically your name and email address) and use it only to respond or process the request.

Analytics

We use Rybbit, a privacy-focused analytics service, to measure aggregate site traffic (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). Rybbit does not use cookies for cross-site tracking and we do not use this data to identify individual visitors.

How We Use Information

Business Data

Contractor listings are compiled from publicly available sources, including business websites, public records, and public review platforms. Business owners may request corrections or removal of their listing at any time (see "Your Choices" below).

Third Parties

• Contractors: quote-request details are forwarded to the independent contractors you select. Their use of your information is governed by their own policies — we recommend asking them directly.
• Hosting and infrastructure: the site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Standard hosting logs are retained by our providers.
• Analytics: Rybbit (self-hosted), as described above.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. Residents of states with applicable privacy laws (including the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act) may additionally request confirmation of what data we hold about them and opt out of any targeted advertising — though we do not conduct targeted advertising today.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
